Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve the excitment began. The kids
got to open their Christmas PJ's from Nana &
Papa. Then because that is not as exciting as
present, they each got to pick one to open.

Emery with her crawling butterfly. She enjoyed
chewing on it more than crawling after it.

Isaac with his dump truck from Aunt Jenni, Uncle
Kevin, and cousin Kodie. He loves this thing and
even sat in it (yes he is still that small). Although
natural consequences occurred and he fell over. No
ouchies though.

Ian is now a true police officer. He has the helmet &
all the accessories to prove it. Watch out!

Emery's 1st Christmas eve. Just as content as can be
in her warm PJ's.
Merry Christmas to all & and Happy New Year!

Don't forget the Reindeer

Reindeer food (provided by daycare)

The boys outside leaving reindeer food.
Of course we left chocolate cookies for Santa, but as Ian
reminded us we can't forget about the hard working
reindeer. So the boys left food outside for the reindeers
to munch on.

Boys will be boys

Here the boys are posing for pictures. They were
being really goofy (as always).

Early Christmas with cousin Kodie

We decided that it would be fun for the kids to open a present each.
So here they are digging into the presents.

Winter

It started snowing on the 13th & for the most
part has not stopped. It has been too cold to even
play outside. We have around 9-12 inches of snow
& more is expected this week. It will be a
white Christmas here. Happy Holidays!

Emery is 10 months

Emery turned 10 months on the 13th. She finally said
mama on the 20th. Yeah I was so excited, its been nothing
but dada for the last few months. She is pulling up on
everything. She will walk with hands and loves the stairs.
She has a great personality and loves to laugh at her
brothers.

Visitors

The four cousins: Ian, Isaac, Kodie, & Emery

Papa and the boys!
We have had a lot of visitors over the last month.
Grandma & Grandpa came to visit after Thanksgiving.
Papa came to visit the first weekend in December.
Aunt Jenni, Uncle Kevin, and cousin Kodie came to visit
last weekend. It has been a lot of fun seeing family. It
defintely makes it feel more like the holidays!

Promotion

We found out on Tuesday that all of Jeremy's hard work
has paid off. He was promoted to Sgt. He beat out 11
officers for the spot. He starts his new position on January 4.
This means back to the streets, which he is very excited about.
We are all very proud of him.

Just being Cute!

For the most part Emery is an extremely happy baby.
She loves to laugh and play. She thinks it is funny to get
chased. She thinks her brothers are a riot. It is so fun to
see her personality come through. She is our little Drama
Queen!
(Thanks again Jillian for the super cute bows!)

Ian

Just a little update on Ian. He continues to
show us how smart, athletic, and funny
he is. He never ceases to amaze me. He is
just a caring little boy. Every night he tells me
he loves me as big as the whole universe. He
also still likes me to sign You are my Sunshine to
him. He is learning to write and spell. He can count
to 100 (sometimes more). He loves football and
knows the NFL teams by their helmets and knows
plays too. He just loves sports in general. He has an
active imagination. We still hear about Jason and John
Marley ( his imaginary friends), but not as much. He
pretends to be a cop, a preschool teacher, and he
does polygraphs. His name thing is he is a dog named
Lassie Sparkle Shep (don't ask we have no idea). He
is a great son and a great big brother.

Table

The Before Table

The After Table

Jeremy and I are becoming more grown up every day.
We finally broke down and bought a table that fits our
family and has matching chairs.

The stairs

Emery, like all babies have discovered the stairs
and she is obessed. She can get up about 2 and
then decides to turn around to see what is going
on in the room. She is pulling up on everything and
loves to stand, although her balance is not that good
yet. We all know it is just a matter of time.

Isaac is 2 1/2

Isaac is 2 1/2 today. Hard to believe it has been that
long. He loves books as you can see. He was listening
to the Runaway Pancake. Which has been a big favorite
in our family. Isaac continues to fight potty training,
although he will come tell you he is "stinky and needs to
be changed". His favorite phases include "no, why, and
what happened? He loves to annoy his brother and
is very stubborn (wonder where he gets that from).
He is talking so well and has learned his shapes. He
continues to run into things usually on a daily basis.
He hit his head twice this week (which left bumps), one
time jumping on the bed and the other chasing Ian around
the house.

the kids at 9 months old

Ian 9 months old and 7 days.

Isaac 9 months old and 2 days.

Emery 9 months old and 1 day.

Emery is 9 months old

Emery turned 9 months old on Thursday. She is
crawling and putting everything into her mouth.
She babbles all the time. She loves to laugh at the
boys. She is trying to pull herself up and move around.
Her balance is still pretty off though. She can wave and
she shakes her whole body when she does it, it's pretty
funny to watch.

Emery is crawling

Emery started crawling on Halloween. I was in the
bathroom with Ian and turned around and there
she was. She has been getting better at it everyday.
She also has been saying dada for the last few weeks.

Every Holiday

My background for our blog is in honor of every holiday. They should all be celebrated and not shoved down our throats. You all know how I am about the Holidays. So here is to Thanksgiving!

Halloween

Can't ever get them all to smile!

Our tough policemen!

Our mad little pirate!

Our happy little ladybug!
The boys had a great day at daycare with parties. Ian class
did a parade for a nursing home down the street. The boys
went trick or treating with Jeremy. This was Isaac first year
to go and both boys were very excited. Emery was very
happy for her first Halloween and hung out with mom and passed
out the candy.

Boo at the Zoo

My little Pirate and Policemen!
Today Ian, Isaac, and I headed off to
our zoo for some trick or treating. As you
can see above Ian was having a great time,
Isaac on the other hand threw a fit the
majority of the night! Isaac has now decided
that he is afraid of all the animals (except the
lions). We got lots of fun goodies and played some
fun games too.

Ian & Emery

Emery thinks Ian is just so funny. She will just giggle when he
does silly things. She kept trying to hug and crawl on him. It was
really cute!

Look at all the curls!

I don't know how well you can see it, but all that
crazy hair is curls. She looks like this everytime she
gets out of the bath tub. I can't wait for it to be longer.

Pictures

Here are some updated pictures of the kids. These
turned out so much better than the ones in May. They
are all growing up so fast. They each have their own
personalities. We have to thank Aunt Kim for the matching
OSU outfits.

Pumpkin Patch

Ian went to the Pumpkin Patch with his class from
school. He had a lot of fun picking his own pumpkin
to bring home.

Pumpkin Carving & Apple Picking

The boys went to our neighbors house on Saturday and
she helped them carve pumpkins. Ian's is a cat and Isaac's
is a happy face. They had a great time and get excited every
night to light their pumpkins.

The boys also spent the afternoon picking apples
off our apple trees with Jeremy.
